Reduce Repetitive Stress Injuries

Many workplace injuries are the result of repetitive stress. These injuries may be the result of sitting at a computer for extended periods of time or repeating the same motion over and over again. Simply stated, doing the same thing over and over again can cause injuries which produce pain.

At the Center for Therapeutic Massage, we are experts at identifying and treating the trigger points where the pain originates. We don’t just treat the nagging discomfort of a repetitive stress injury — we work to correct the cause of both chronic and acute pain.

When the physical pain and emotional stress caused by repetitive stress injuries in the workplace are addressed, relations between employer and employee often improve and productivity typically increases. The most effective way to address these injuries is through therapeutic massage and preventative training.

Reduce Stress Through Brain Training

Working at a computer is a significant cause of repetitive stress injuries in the workplace. Paradoxically the computer can also be an effective tool for preventing injuries. Using the computer for “Brain Training” reduces injuries and leads to increased job satisfaction.

A two and a half year study (2010 to 2012) covering more than 2,700 employees found that the individual can be trained to better manage feelings of anxiety, stress, and depression. Learning to manage stress creates many benefits beyond self-regulation. These include improved memory, attention span, and executive function abilities.

Improve Employer/Employee Relations

Our Brain Training programs can be customized to suit your business. The benefits of our programs can be measured in returns on the investment you have made in your business, improved employer/employee relations and greater employee satisfaction.

When the physical pain and emotional stress caused by repetitive stress injuries in the workplace are addressed, relations between employer and employee often improve and productivity typically increases. The most effective way to address injuries is through therapeutic massage and brain training.

A study done by the US Department of Labor statistics showed a gain of 10 points in IQ in the workplace could result in a $9,000 to $18,000 increase in annual company earnings. This means that for every dollar spent on brain training there is a potential return of $127,000 over the employee’s lifetime.

Perspectives In Palpation
In Ron McKnight’s book “Perspectives in Palpation”, he demonstrates his unique approach to finding and recognizing trigger point anomalies. Once identified, these trigger points may be managed or even eliminated.

Ron insists that the therapists  who work with him be trained in the technique of identifying and treating latent and active trigger points.
